I run on my PC Windows Vista and some time ago I tried it’s Backup feature. For me it’s very important to backup my files, e-mails, music and pictures once in a while. Why?

I have two 250 GB SATA hard drives, and I use the RAID 0 feature of my mother board. So, if something goes wrong with one of my hard drives… all my data will be lost.

I heard those stories about some companies, hotels and credit card processing firms, getting hacked and losing tons of customer data, putting the company and their customers at risk. The truth is that losing data is a risk for every PC user, not only for those those companies.

Anyone who uses a computer, (any communication device, in fact) is at risk for data loss, and that loss of personal data can be just as devastating to the individual as to the corporation. A strong virus protection program can also help. Virus programs check every incoming KB including e-mails, chat, web pages, add-ons, etc. There are many virus protection programs on the Internet (to buy), and most of them can protect computers from hackers.

Sometimes I like to go in various locations. Of Course my laptop is my friend. But I cannot install on my laptop all needed programs for web designing (sometimes clients needs modifications…). So, the solution is to backup my home PC remotely.
