I remember the time when I was younger and lived with my parents. My summer trips to my grandparents when I used to jog every day after hens, pigs and cows are some of the most splendiferous memories.
My grandfather was a strong man (with all that white hair). His house was unique and there were only two rooms. I remember my days in that straw bed… OMG… ![]()
I used to drink fresh milk each and every morning… It was a world of fairy characters, but I realized this (only) later. I remember that my grandfather had a wall clock with a singing bird. I know that I was quite curious about that bird… how and why is she singing? Hehe, beautiful times.
I searched the Internet to see if you can buy some grandfather clocks. One of my buddies already managed to buy one. I found a company that sells such stuff and I’m tempted to buy at least one.
Before buying grandfather clocks I have to figure out if my room will “accept” the clock. Do you think such a clock would fit into a room stuffed with wires, TV, PC? I’ll see.
The company I mentioned you about also has a nicely designed website (1-800-4clocks.com). They offer includes wall clocks and Mantel Clocks.
How did the grandfather clock get it’s name? When a friend bought his first grandfather clock, his 3 year old son asked him if it was from his grandfather. He said no. He then asked again why he would call it a ‘grandfather clock’ if it was not from his grandfather. Really. why?
