What do you think about the sugar production?
Today Brazil is the top sugar producer in the world. In 2006 alone Brazilian Sugar Production covered up 20% of the world’s sugar production. The two important regions proper for sugar cane in Brazil: the Center-South region and the North-Northeast region. Sixty percent of the sugar from Brazil is produced in the Sao Paulo region, due to the soil’s high fertility.
The main three trade partners of Brazil are: the United States, Argentina and China. USA purchases almost twenty percent of the sugar from Brazil. Argentina buys over eight percent of the sugar exports, while China accounts for just over seven percent of Brazilian sugar exports. Other trading partners include Japan, Algeria, France, Nigeria, South Korea, and Italy are other important partners interested in Brazilian sugar.
